Our Partnerships

Crafting exceptional chocolate is only part of the story

At Trinitario, partnerships are central to a larger mission — one rooted in sustainability, heritage, and shared prosperity.

These are our amazing partners

We are proud to collaborate with a range of national and international institutions that share a vision for Caribbean excellence. From trade and innovation to sustainability and community development, these partnerships help us extend the impact of fine-flavour cacao far beyond the bar.

Supporting Brand Growth & Global Reach

In partnership with agencies such as the Ministry of Trade and Industry, InvesTT, ExporTT, the International Trade Centre (Geneva), EU Intellectual Property Office (Spain), Inter-American Development Bank, the European Union Delegation in Port of Spain, the British High Commission, and the Trinidad and Tobago Intellectual Property Office, we are exploring new frontiers for brand protection, export readiness, and international retail collaborations. These relationships help position Trinitario as a global ambassador for Caribbean cacao — protected, respected, and recognised.

Reviving Tobago’s Cocoa Heartland

In collaboration with the Tobago House of Assembly, we are contributing to the rehabilitation of 1,000 acres of historic cocoa lands in Northeast and Central Tobago. This ambitious project will create employment, revive heritage farming traditions, and support training in sustainable cocoa cultivation. Crucially, it empowers local communities to develop their own cocoa and chocolate products, creating a vibrant, visitor-ready “cocoa island” experience that is both equitable and enriching.

Championing Farmers at the Source

Our partnership with the Cocoa Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago enables us to source local beans at premium prices, ensuring farmers have a consistent and rewarding market. By supporting best practices in fermentation, drying, and post-harvest care, we help unlock the full flavour potential of local cacao — while also encouraging farmers to balance short-term income crops with long-term high-value production. More support is still needed: from improved planting material to pest management and training, we remain committed to advocating for the resources our farmers deserve.
